The Melbourne Royal Board, management and staff were saddened to learn of the passing of Reg Cleland OAM.

It is with a heavy heart that I announce my decision to step down as Chief Executive of Melbourne Royal, effective 31 August 2026. I am most grateful for the generous offer the Melbourne Royal Board presented to me to continue as Chief Executive for another term, however, I have decided to graciously decline the opportunity. I sincerely thank the Board for their ongoing trust and confidence in my leadership.

The Australian International Spirits Awards continues to grow in profile and reputation, with 2026 marking the introduction of international entries to the competition.
