As we approach the festive season and the end of 2023, it’s an opportunity to reflect on what has been a highly successful year for Melbourne Royal in celebrating 175 years.

On Friday 3 November, the 2023 winners of the country’s most prestigious wine event, the Melbourne Royal Wine Awards (MRWA), were announced at a presentation luncheon at the iconic Victoria Pavilion at Melbourne Showgrounds.

The 2023 Melbourne Royal Wine Awards Presentation luncheon held today in the magnificent Victoria Pavilion with more than 350 guests in attendance, the largest attendance for more than 15 years. Established in 1884 with just thirteen entries, the Melbourne Royal Wine Awards have evolved and grown significantly over the past 139 years and this year we welcomed 2,425 entries.

The prestigious Melbourne Royal Distinguished Service & Achievement Awards for 2023 were celebrated on the inaugural day of the 2023 Melbourne Royal Show. The accolades were presented during the esteemed President's Lunch, held at the MasterChef Pavilion on Thursday, September 21.

The Melbourne Royal Show is a remarkable and iconic Victorian major event that evokes joy and happiness amongst the Victorian community. Over the past 175 years, the Show has grown and evolved to be a unique and valuable platform to promote and celebrate agriculture, inspire excellence through competition and bring communities together.
